Christina Prestidge graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting and Art History. While at the Art Institute she was a Resident Assistant in the dorms and was given the Outstanding Foundation Award for her leadership and being among the top four students in her class. Christina completed the Major Plus Program with an emphasis in Fiber Arts and participated in the Study Abroad Program at the International Ceramics Studio in Kesckemet, Hungary. Upon graduation Christina received a studio residency with Charlotte Street Foundation’s Urban Culture Project and she is currently in her second term.
Christina graduated from New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida, with an emphasis in visual arts. She was in Florida Future Educators of America and the President of the Best Buddies Club: an organization for special needs students. In high school, Christina was given awards for her accomplishments in printmaking and her Spanish. At The Plaza Academy, Christina teaches a variety of artistic disciplines and design skills. Outside of the classroom, Christina still works in her private studio and her work has been shown locally and nationally.
